Our History
Rooted in Brunswick County and designed to grow with the community.
Brunswick Plantation & Golf Resort was founded by Caw Caw Land Corp., Inc. in 1991. The company’s founding members Jimmy McLamb, Mason Anderson, and G. Tripp Sloane III were all born and raised in Brunswick County, North Carolina, and set out to create a community shaped by southern architecture, southern landscaping, and southern hospitality.
Since then, Brunswick Plantation has grown from 650 acres to more than 1,750 acres. The golf course expanded from 18 holes to 27, and the community now includes more than 1,800 property owners and roughly 1,000 homes, townhomes, and condo units. Amenities have grown with it too, including seven pools, five clubhouses, tennis courts, and walking paths. POA control transitioned to property owners in 2008 with more than $900,000 in reserves.
