Hi. My name is Shawn Hicken and am originally from upstate New York. I moved

to the Myrtle Beach area in 1995 to pursue a career in the golf industry. Making it

to the top in this field did not come easy. I worked many long hours in golf course

construction as well as grounds maintenance for many area courses. I also possess

a good golf game and spent some time trying to make it to the PGA tour.

Prior to coming to Brunswick I worked as the first assistant at the Thistle Golf Club

and Bald Head Island Club. I was hired by Brunswick Plantation and Golf Resort in

2004 as the Head Golf Professional. I also manage the Pro-Shop and am the

Membership Director. I bring 15 years of experience in the Myrtle Beach golf market.

I have experienced every avenue it takes to make it in this business. My dedication and

devotion to the game of golf and life is evidenced by my pursuit of excellence.
